Serbia’s prosperity depends on progress in relations with Pristina, US Ambassador Kyle Scott tweeted on Friday.

“Re-starting the dialogue is not an easy job, but Serbia’s future prosperity depends on achieving progress in relations with Pristina,” the ambassador wrote on his Twitter account following a meeting between Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic and US Under-Secretary of State David Hale.

The US Embassy wrote on its Twitter account that Washington is calling Pristina to revoke the 100 percent tariffs on Serbian goods. “The United States is calling for the revoking of the tariffs, and end to mutual provocation and continuing of the (Belgrade-Pristina) dialogue,” the tweet said.

It added that Hale told Vucic that Washington appreciates its partnership with Serbia and wants to build even strong relations between the two countries.
