The Pacific Ocean state of Palau is the 13th country which has decided to review its decision to recognize Kosovo, Serbian Foreign Minister Ivica Dacic said after a meeting with Palau President Thomas Esang Remengesau.
“We are close to getting the number of UN member states which recognized Kosovo down to less than half,” the foreign minister said and added that it’s possible that just 101 countries have recognized Kosovo.
Dacic said that Sherlock Holmes couldn’t determine how many countries have recognized Kosovo. According to him, Pristina’s list of 116 countries is not correct.
Three cooperation agreements were signed by Dacic and the Palau president.
“The Republic of Palau suspends any previous decision or declaration on the question of the status of Kosovo and Metohija,” a diplomatic not sent to the Serbian Foreign Ministry said. It added that has decided to review the position to recognize Kosovo as an independent state after extensive research and deliberation.
