Ahead of the arrival of Russia’s President Vladimir Putin, the Russian delegation and its Serbia’s partners signed on Thursday a railway contract worth 230 million Euros, the Beta news agency reported.
Zorana Mihajlovic, Serbia’s Minister of Construction, Transport and Infrastructure, witnessed the signing of the agreement between the “Infrastructure of Serbia’s Railway” and the Russian “RZD International” company.
The contract includes the building of a dispatcher centre, electrotechnical infrastructure on the part of the country's’ railroads and the documents for the reconstruction of the 210 kilometres of the rail line to the border with Montenegro.
“We have been working on this project for two years, including the fast railway Belgrade – Budapest,” Mihajlovic said.
She added that during Putin’s visit 21 contract would be signed.
