Kosovo Prime Minister Ramush Haradinaj said on Monday that Serbia is a mini-Russia in the Balkans and threatened to keep the 100 percent tariffs on Serbian goods in place if Belgrade does not change its behaviour.

Speaking at an annual meeting with journalists, Haradinaj said that Kosovo was helping Serbia buy Russian weapons and arm itself by buying goods from Serbia.

“If Serbia does not change, the tariffs will remain in force forever. If Serbia wants to agree on mutual recognition and act in accord with European and American logic ww will immediately revoke the tariffs,” the prime minister said, adding that they were imposed to protect the Kosovo economy.

He said Belgrade and Pristina had reached the framework of a dialogue but added that the negotiation process was not in its final stage yet.

He said President Hashim Thaci has to disclose everything he discussed with Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic. “The president has meetings with Vucic but they can’t negotiate on war reparations, a free market or missing persons,” Haradinaj said.
