United Cloud, the United Group’s R&D centre, has invited applications for the Bits N’ AndroidTV hackathon in Belgrade on December 5-6, a press release said on Friday.

The Bits N’ AndroidTV hackathon is being organized with the support of Google and the winning team will win a trip to California for the Google I/O 2019 conference.

Under the rules of the competition, the competing teams will have 24 hours to complete an Android TV operating system task which will be disclosed on the first day of the hackathon. The invitation to enter is open to programmers of all profiles, as well as UX/UI designers with no previous experience with the Android TV OS.

United Cloud and Google experts will be available during the competition to provide support to the competing teams.

The winner will be decided by a jury of experts from United Cloud and Google on the second day of the hackathon. The winning team will be selected based on the quality, innovation and presentation of their solution.

The Android TV OS was developed by Google as the TV OS of the future. The technology behind the OS is being gradually introduced to the Western Balkans region through the new EON platform which United Cloud experts worked on over the past two years.

Application forms and information are available on the www.united.cloud web site.
