Serbia’s & Russia’s air forces in joint tactical exercise Izvor: Ministarstvo odbrane

The members of Serbia’s Air Force and Anti-Aircraft Defence and their colleagues from Russia’s Aerospace Force started an air-tactical exercise “BARS 2018” on Monday, following the signing of the technical agreement at the Belgrade military airport in the suburb of Batajnica, the FoNet news agency reported.

Serbia’s Defence Ministry said in a statement that the goal of the exercise to last through October 6 was to raise the level of the operational capabilities of the two countries’ air forces.

That is the fourth such exercise held alternately in Serbia’s and Russia’s air spaces, the statement said.

Combat aircraft will start flying on Tuesday exercising the control and protection of the airspace and the search and rescue operations.
