Kosovo President Hashim Thaci said he understood the reaction of Drenica citizens who blocked the roads in order to prevent Serbia’s President Aleksandar Vucic from visiting the multi-ethnic village of Banje, but that at the time of reconciliation, these blockades are not helping either side.

He added that he understood the Serb community in the village of Banje, who were disappointed that Vucic's visit did not take place.

Thaci noted that everyone should rise above their own wounds and pain, for the sake of reconciliation.
