The Serbian police will launch a digital system to send traffic accident reports to insurance companies as of Monday, September 10, Internal Affairs Minister Nebojsa Stefanovic said on Friday.

“Accident reports written by traffic police officers will be sent to the servers of the Serbian Insurers Association and there will be no need to go to police stations for copies of reports nor will people have to pay fees to get the reports,” a press release quoted him as saying.

The minister said that the reports will be sent to the Insurers Association only if is material damage was caused.

Stefanovic attended a presentation of the system in a traffic police station in Novi Sad.
