Serbia was systematically weakened by false accusations for the scenarios against its own people in Kosovo, said by various political and religious representatives, Director of the Office of Kosovo and Metohija, Marko Djuric, said on Saturday following the session of the National Security Council of Serbia.
Djuric said that the session discussed the fact that the agreement on the Community of Serb Municipalities (CSM) is not observed but also the atmosphere which certain Serbs created, he pointed out, by accusing their own country of planning the scenarios of arranged conflicts in Kosovo.
“The military and police were given the special tasks regarding these espionage activities,” said Djuric.
The Kosovo and Metohija Office Director emphasized that the Serbs in Kosovo will not fall for provocations and that Serbia will continue protecting the peace.
Serbia's President Aleksandar Vucic called the session for Saturday to discuss the situation in Kosovo. The call came after several statements by Albanian official ahead of a final stage in the Belgrade – Pristina dialogue.
The session was held at the Presidency's building and was attended by Prime Minister Ana Brnabic, Minister of Defense Aleksandar Vulin, Interior Minister Nebojsa Stefanovic, Justice Minister Nela Kuburovic, Chief of the Staff of the Army of Serby Ljubisa Dikovic, and Djuric.
President Vucic met with Patriarch Irinej following the session.
