A Swiss national was charged with drug trafficking in Vienna after being arrested in a joint operation conducted by the Austrian and Serbian police, the Serbian Internal Affairs Ministry said on Wednesday.

The Swiss national, identified only by his initials, was arrested in possession of 7 kilograms of marijuana, it added.  

The man was charged with trafficking narcotics and remanded in custody by a court in the Austrian capital.
