President Aleksandar Vucic said on Thursday that Serbia’s top civilian intelligence agency and the police are searching for missing journalist Stefan Cvetkovic.

All the resources that the police and Security Information Agency (BIA) have at their disposal are being used to search for Cvetkovic, the president said.

Cvetkovic was reported missing on the night of June 13-14 in the town of Bela Crkva.

The police reported finding his car open with the lights on. Vucic said he is being kept informed about the search “every 15 minutes” by Internal Affairs Minister Nebojsa Stefanovic and BIA Director Bratislav Gasic.

“I hope they will solve the case, I can’t say anything more in public,” he said at the opening of the Kromberg and Schubert cable production plant in Krusevac.

The Internal Affairs Ministry said earlier that a Gendarmerie detachement with divers and sniffer dogs had been sent to Bela Crkva to search for Cvetkovic, as well as a team of investigators.
