Serbia and France have excellent cooperation in the fields of the judiciary and internal security but have keep on strengthening that cooperation especially in combatting terrorism, Thursday’s gathering at the French embassy in Belgrade was told.
The seminar on combatting terrorism and organized crime was opened by French Ambassador Frederic Mondoloni, Serbian Internal Affairs Minister Nebojsa Stefanovic and Hélène Cazaux-Charles head of the French National institute for Advanced Studies in Security and Justice (INHESJ).
Stefanovic said the important thing is keeping the peace and stability in Europe which requires quality police cooperation in combatting organized crime and terrorism which “cannot be the job of just one country”. “Serbia is open for cooperation,” he said.
Mondoloni told the gathering that the two countries have excellent cooperation in internal security and the judiciary thanks to the competence of Serbian police personnel and judiciary bodies. “The priority in operational cooperation between the French and Serbian police is the fight against terrorism, the illegal arms trade and illegal migrations,” the ambassador said.
