The European Karate Federation on Friday formed a commission to look into events leading up to the ban on the Kosovo karate team’s participation in the European Championship in Novi Sad.

The Executive Committee of the European Karate Federation (EKF) held an extraordinary meeting to analyse the events regarding the participation of athletes of Kosovo in the 53rd edition of the Karate European Championships being held in Novi Sad and decided to open an investigation into the matters surrounding the participation of athletes from Kosovo at the event”, the Federation said on its web site.  

The Executive Committee formed a three-member special commission chaired by the EKF secretary general which will file a report following its investigation,”the EKF said.
