Serbia does not have either domestic or foreign policy and its politics is a living proof of a totally lost compass and a serious political schizophrenia, Kokan Mladenovic, a regionally famous theatre director has said on Tuesday.
Speaking to N1 television, Mladenovic added that flirting with Russia, running to Turkey, formally aspiring to the EU and courting with the US was schizophrenic.
“It is not a wise politics. I don’t know how skilful we are to juggle with so many balls in the air with our politicians adding more and more of them… That will end in catastrophe, they will have to fall down in the end,” Mladenovic said.
He added that Serbia’s President was “on an undemocratic friendship tour”, meeting his Turkish counterpart Recep Tayyip Erdoğan on Tuesday, than the Russian President Vladimir Putin on Wednesday.
“That is a triumvirate of undemocratic leaders,” Mladenovic said.
He added he was not sure that “Russia has honourable intentions, Turkey is looking for its place.. the unfortunate Balkans are a part of a big chess game. We can only hope that this time it won’t end so terribly and at our expense.”
Mladenovic also said he did not see any changes in Bosnia, Serbia, Croatia (since the 1990s) because “those who pushed us into the wars are still there. There is no will for a dialogue and no one wants to pay the bill in this Balkans’ pub.”
