No results from the investigation into the murder of Kosovo Serb political leader Oliver Ivanovic have been released three months after his death, Ivanovic's SDP Civic Initiative party has said.
The party said on Monday there has been no word from investigators three months after Ivanovic was gunned down in northern Kosovo.
Ivanovic was shot several times on January 16 in front of his party headquarters in the northern part of the divided town of Mitrovica in northern Kosovo. He was viewed as an opponent to the leading Kosovo Serb party the Serb List which has strong ties to the authorities in Belgrade.
“We have been asking the authorities to day who killed Oliver Ivanovic but we have not been given any answer and no suspects have been named or arrests made,” the party said adding that the Kosovo Special Prosecution occasionally says that it is working on the case “intensively”.
Graffiti images of Oliver Ivanovic have been spray painted on walls in several towns in Kosovo and Serbia proper. The images appeared in Mitrovica, Pristina, Gracanica, Nis and Krusevac, the KoSSev portal reported.
