The Democratic Party is planning to hold inner party elections by the end of May

The Democratic Party is planning to elect a new leadership by the end of May, DS MP group chief Goran Ciric told the Beta news agency on Tuesday (April 3).

The DS is set to elect a new leader and other party officials following the resignation of Dragan Sutanovac as party chief over the bad results at the elections for the Belgrade city assembly. The DS won just 2.25% of the vote, falling far below the 5% threshold needed to win seats in the city assembly.
